Universal Phone Case Xtreme

The product serves its purpose, but it would be great to have a magnetic adhesion to snap it perfectly, as on the go I mostly remove the phone together with the Clamp. This way, I can just reattach it with a rotation (but have to align with the mount just right) and prevent someone from maliciously stealing it on the street. A version of this Clamp with an integrated charger would also be appealing, since there is no SP Extreme case version available for certain phone models (in my case the Samsung S24 FE which supports inductive charging). As I need rugged case due to the nature of my work, I already have very similar extreme cases that only fit into this specific SP Clamp version due to the thickness of the case. Because of this, charging currently has to be done directly with a cable.

Unfortunately, my experience with the SP Connect Universal Mount has been disappointing. This is already the second mount where I have experienced exactly the same issue.

After approximately one year of use, the locking ring used to twist and secure the mount stops turning. As a result, the Twist-to-Lock mechanism no longer works and the mount becomes practically useless.

What is particularly frustrating is that this has happened twice, on two different mounts, with exactly the same failure. This makes it difficult to consider it simply a random defect of a single unit. I have also noticed other users reporting very similar problems with the durability of this mechanism.

The mounting system itself is excellent and works very well when new. However, for a product in this price range, I would expect the mechanism to last significantly longer than around one year.

Two identical failures have seriously reduced my confidence in the long-term durability of the SP Connect Universal Mount. I hope SP Connect will take a closer look at the design and materials used in the locking mechanism.

First one i order in avg 2024 and used ti few times, after i dropped it and one of four holders broke, so it wasn't usefull anymore.
This year i bouth second one, an only after third use , one side of mounting part broke and holder together with phone fell of on the road , where it also cracked mobile phone screen.
I like the way it supposed to be used and easy on/off part, ut the quility of material is not up to the task.
Would recomend anly for casual rides,

I have been using SP connects since 2018, on bikes and motorcycle. Excellent products, they do not disappoint.

Parfait!!! Très bon produit
Emballage très soigné

Sp-connect universal phone clamp. Prachtig ontwerp.

Ordered for my Indian Chief Dark Horse
Fast delivery, easy mount, top quality, beautiful design
I dont'regret my purchase.
For the high price, I hope these items will last as long as my bike and as long as me

The clamp itself is good, good grip on the phone even on the rocky trails that I usually go to.
However the first one I received broke its springs of its twistlock system after 5 to 6 rides. The polymer sliding track for the springs got dented and bent the stainless steel springs breaking them when I untwisted the system.
Although this is good design, the choice of materials will not make this equipment be long-lasting, as the sliding tracks for the springs will be sacrificial and due to its poor hardness when compared with the stainless steel springs will compromise the sliding tracks becoming dented and recked in the end. The first signs of deterioration will start by having some play when it's in its locked position and customers will buy a new one due to the risk of failure.
Not a great choice of materials.

Usefull but not strong enough in MTB

It's oké

Very easy to use

Great peoduct
